Saturday -Disney Studios and American Idol
On Sat. we went back to Disney Studios. They have their very owm American Idol show. It is done just like the one on TV. Our very won Michael Pittman went through several auditions and made it on the stage. About 300 people auditioned. He had a voice coach, make up, bright lights and the whole works. He did not end up with the most votes but he was a winner to us. The crowd really responded well to him and he had some positive commments from the staff. It was fun.

Friday - Water parks and Magic Kingdom
Our "heading out time" is getting later each day. We started the day with Typhoon Lagoon water park. We had fun with the wave pool. We are somewhere in this picture waiting to be swept away. In the first wave that hit Ron his hat and watch got pulled off. They were found. We learned to hold on to hats and glasses. We swam with the sharks. The group in the middle of the picture is our group. You put on snorkle gear and swim in a salt water pool and look down at the sharks and other fish. Some were more successful than others.
Then we headed back to the Magic Kingdom and stayed until the park closed at 3:00 -- so needless to say we slept in a little today. We can't believe our time is coming to an end soon.

Thursday - Back to Epcot
The morning was spent at a water park for the Andy Metz's and on little boats for the rest except for Ron, Sandy and Chip who headed back to Epcot early. We all met later at Epcot and viewed the countries and a few more ride attractions. We had a very quick powerful storm come through and it caught part of our crew off guard. Part of our crew huddled under a refreshment stand for about 15 minutes - they were drenched. In the Japan exhibit some of the girls picked out clams that had pearls in them and then they had the pearls set in rings, necklaces or earrings. That was fun. For the evening we headed to Fort Winderness for the Hoop de doo show and supper. It was a rip roaring good time. Kira was not happy for the napkin spinning - she dropped hers.
Wednesday Epcot Kira's Birthday
What a way to spend a birthday. We had lunch with the princesses and all of our princesses - Kira, Katey , Emily and Lee were so VERY excited. The food was delicious. When I asked everyone at the end of the day what their favorite thing of the day was, everyone said the food or the princesses! Emily, Katey, Kira and Caed are becoming pros at those fast and furious rides. I have taken the position as "watcher". The imagination of the people who have created this place is amazing.
Tuesday - Magic Kingdom
On Monday we traveled in mass to Magic Kingdom along with about 1,475,048 others. We headed to the cup and saucer and racetrack first. Caed did an especially good job driving his car ( watch out world)! Lee's eyes were open wide in the Haunted Mansion. We have some fearless kids with us. Everyone but me had hands over their head in the roller coaster type rides - I was hanging on for dear life. Kira likes those rides so much it is almost scarey! The Pittman boys are a hoot! They make the longs lines entertaining! We left the Magic Kingdom just as the token storm rolled in for the day. We hopped the monorail and headed for the Contemporary Resort where we had reservations for dinner. The kids got milk shakes with their meal - we are on vacation. Lucy, Katey and Emily went back to the Magic Kingdom for an extra hour of fun. We are having a wonderful time.

Animal Kingdon Monday
All 15 of us headed out in force. It was a sight to see. Next time we are going to get matching shirts so that we can keep up with each other better - but we have not lost anyone yet.
Animals, animals, animals, - they were everywhere. We went on the safari. That was awesome (Katey's words). The kids got pictures made with characters all over the place. The Dinosaur ride scared us all - except me because I had my eyes shut the entire time. I didn't want to get eaten by one of those things. The Lion King and the Finding Nemo show were terrific. We dug for dino bones, ate fine food, and rode Everest - they said it was an terrifying coaster - I am going to take their word for it.
Pictures are
Lee carrying Kira - she was carried alot.
The group standing in line - we did that alot.
The groups on a ride.
Kira mad because she was too short to ride the ride.
Papaw and Kira watching them ride.
Everyone is waiting on me to go to Epcot ---- Kiras birthday celebration. I will continue and edit as necessary later.
